What we do
One place — five things we do.

The Club
A black room on the third floor: a grand piano, Meyer Sound and a hundred and twenty seats.

Concerts
Our own evenings at the club, and curated programmes wherever we are invited — from a church to a philharmonic hall.

Private evenings
The whole room for one company. Music, dinner, and no strangers at the next table.

Lessons
Piano for adults. No exams, no fear of sheet music, and no questions about why you didn’t start as a child.

For children
A club where music begins not with notation, but with curiosity.
About the club
A black room, a grand piano, and few enough seats that bad ones never had a chance to appear. From the stage to the middle of the room — three metres; and from the front row you could turn the pages.
By day we teach here, in the afternoon the room belongs to the musicians, and in the evening it becomes the thing all of this was invented for. Sometimes we play other people’s stages too — but we always come back.

Music for your evening
The Downtown Piano Lab voices — at your celebration.
On the club stage and in any hall in Lithuania. The programme, the artists and all the organisational kitchen work are ours — yours is the evening, and the right to remember it.

John Carpenter Turned a Dream Into 14 Cathedral Tracks
The elevator goes to hell, but the several-hundred-million-dollar movie does not exist. Carpenter found a cheaper screen in a graphic novel and scored it with his son and godson.

Moby Opens Future Quiet With a Drumless 1995 Song
Tonight’s Kalnų Parkas show arrives with Future Quiet. Its opening track was never a single, yet three decades later it has become Moby’s most-streamed song.

William Orbit, Producer of Ray of Light and 13, Dies at 69
The British producer died at home on July 23. His records endure wherever a pop song was allowed to remain slightly stranger than the market required.
