France-based Viktorija Gečytė sings jazz of the New York school: the phrase ends when she decides, not when the bar runs out. A voice heard on stages across Europe and the far side of the Atlantic will sound from three metres away on the 5th of August — nothing between the singer and you. At the piano: Vytautas Straižys — Čiurlionis Conservatory and the Royal Conservatoire in the Netherlands behind him, with Evans, Peterson and Rachmaninoff living inside his harmony.
